Miranda Newsom is a journalist and designer. After four years as Creative Director of Honeymoon magazine in Miami, Miranda moved to London to work as Features Editor of You & Your Wedding magazine from 1999-2005. Now freelance, Miranda lives in south London with her husband and their two young children.
Miranda was educated at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA, Studio Art) and East Carolina University (BA, Communication Arts/Graphic Design). She is a member of the NUJ, and her skills include writing, subbing and designing using programmes including InDesign, Quark XPress, content management software and Photoshop.
Past jobs include putt-putt golf assistant, church organist, busboy/waitress at a Mexican restaurant and even toiling as a roofer one very hot summer. She also worked for several years in communications for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
