Al Gore (former VP and Nobel Peace Prize Winner) claims the current reliance on carbon-based fuels is at the heart of America's economic, environmental and national security crises. (Not to mention the UK's as well).

 

He has issued a revolutionary challenge: that the US produce 100 percent of its electricity from renewable energy and carbon-free sources within 10 years. America would have to change its energy strategy fundamentally – and quickly.
